Len cut his tech-writing teeth producing technical documents for the U.S. Dept. of Defense in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) and held Top Secret/SSBI and NATO security clearance. And he sharpened these skills after his return to civilian life working in the Quality Control and Environmental, Health and Safety industries.
Upon making the transition to copywriting in October of 2004, Len honed and refined his craft by studying the past and present masters of direct response marketing. And his efforts paid off in spades, helping him crank out winning promotion after winning promotion. Within four years his copy had racked up millions of dollars in sales and generated tens of millions of qualified leads.
In March of 2008 Len was recruited by legendary copywriter and direct response marketer Clayton Makepeace. As part of Clayton's in-house team at ResponseINK, Len wrote winning promotions both for Clayton's clients and his own marketing newsletter, The Total Package. Len also contributed articles to the newsletter and helped mentor both in-house copywriters and Total Package subscribers.
In June of 2010 Len returned to the freelance arena, where he has used his extensive experience to help dozens of companies spanning a variety of industries.
